Hi al! this is from several messages I sent to others and therefore a
bit disjointed. If anyone knows anything of this person, please let me
know. Much Thanks!! Mary Ellen
I got the pension records for this man and he seems to be a
corker!! This is part of a query I left a couple of places. The rest
of the story is that he was "some kind of an old root doctor and I
think travels about most of the time, and now in traveling through
this County stops at a certain persons house and salls it his
headquarters, I do not want to do this old fellow an injustice, and
would be pleased to have you advise me what to do . . ." written by
the Walton Co. Clerk 1902. As you may recall, I got this record
because he was witness to my Jinny's marriage to WH McCormick, 1892.
Anyway, this produces more questions than answers. None of the
Crawfords we know of were born in Ireland. Perhaps he lied?? He
enlisted in same unit with some of our Edge boys - Co. H 6th Fla Inf -
CRAWFORD, W PATRICK PV in - 02APR62 out - 26APR65

William P. or W.P. Crawford born 4 Apr 1835 Donegal, Ireland according
to his pension records. He seems tohave lived between somewhere in AL
and Walton Co., FL. He was granted pension in FL. Do not know spouse,
parents or sibs, nor
where he is buried.
