Bad news and good news:
As of April 16, 1998, I will be stepping down from
the SC position for FLGenWeb Project. This has
become necessary due to health problems on both my
part and the part of my husband, and I just can't
keep up with all the things I was working on and all
the government and insurance, etc., V.A., SS Admin,
etc.
The GOOD news:
I will still be involved on a "consultant" basis and
Darrel Bell will be handling the SC duties. I hope
this "appointment" will not offend anyone or make
anyone feel left out. Darrel has been doing a great
job on several of our counties and got all the
orphans online for us as well. He has both the
knowledge and the time to dedicate to keeping
FLGenWeb Project going in the right direction and I
think everyone will be able to work well with him.
I thank everyone for the hard work and support that
they've given in the past year. As a result, Florida
has all its counties on line and ranks in the top 10
for files in the archives. Well done folks!!!!!

Bridgett,
(Sorry folks, had to quote with so many responding
to the same subject line)
You make some very valid points here. What
happened when John
Rigdon left the
NC spot? What events?
