Beginning March 2nd, 2020 the Mailing Lists functionality on RootsWeb will be discontinued. Users will no longer be able to send outgoing emails or accept incoming emails. Additionally, administration tools will no longer be available to list administrators and mailing lists will be put into an archival state.
Administrators may save the emails in their list prior to March 2nd. After that, mailing list archives will remain available and searchable on RootsWeb
In the terms of use policy, which I am placing on the index page, I noticed
that "meta tags that prohibit search spiders (bots) from archiving or
caching the page" are on each page...
Will you gurus put those tags on each of our pages, or do we do it? If we do
it, how do we do it?
Lots of - dos - in there :))

Escambia County
I think there should be an entry for Dade county as well as Miami-Dade.

First of all, the new FLGenWeb home page will be ready for usage
effective January 1, 2008.
The next item, please pay close attention to!
I've been reviewing the links to Queries
at: http://www.flgenweb.net/county/queries.html Many are correct,
but some are not.
USGenWeb County Guidelines state:
"Every page must provide a query page. This can be handled with an
email link to you and posted manually, or if you have the resources,
you can create an automatic mailmerge form page for receiving
information. For information on managing queries, see the Query
Management page."
Would you please review the query link for your county and if the
link is no longer valid, send the correct link to this list. Many of
you are using the RootsWeb Message Boards for your Query pages and
that is fine. Alternate options for query boards could be blogs,
Google or Yahoo Groups, or other message boards. We just need to
know the link for a researcher to submit a query to your county site.
If you have archived queries, please share that link also.
Patrice will update the new website so it will be ready for official
premiere on January 1st.
Hoping all of you have a Happy New Year.
