More Voices ... Fantastic. What I am looking for is a few
Volunteers to come up with proposal for the fair and
equitable settlement of any disputes in FLGenWeb. That
includes potential problems with the SC, ASCs, CCs, Co-CCs,
etc. You don't have to set anything in stone. Discuss
possibilities and come back next month with some ideas for
the board to look over. If you as a committee feel strongly
about one particular idea bring that back to the board,
instead. To work as a small committee you may want to just
use a list of addresses and use reply all to send messages
to each other. If you have an idea you would like input on
post it to this list.
If the Board has no objections... I would like to institute
the following...
Let's try and make up this committee without Board members,
unless a Board member is "really" interested.
Let's keep this Committee open ended, Anyone can join up to
9 members.
Deborah, you are Chair. Keep the list posted of who is a
member, and how it is going. If there are any problems,
perceived or real, let Darrel or myself know. Don't rush
it, bring back whatever you have next meeting.
Give the Board a day or so to object or add conditions
before proceeding.
If you know of any FLGenWeb CC not on this list that you
think might like to participate, have them joins us.
This was the beginning of an idea that I presented last
month... I guess you can tell that I don't think we would
want a standing Grievance Committee (My Opinion only), but a
committee for each incident. (Hopefully we won't have any
incidents)
I would suggest that we use a committee made up of one Board
Member, 2 FLGenWeb volunteers picked by the "Accused" and 2
FLGenWeb volunteers picked by the "Complainant". If the
"Complainant" is FLGenWeb as the complaint is made by the
SC, then the SC would choose the 2 volunteers for the
"Complainant". The Board Member would chair the
proceedings. The Committee could meet on private email and
then announce a decision to the FLGEN-L list. Any complaint
would have to be based on the Bylaws (future) or the
existing rules(guidelines) from the existing FLGenWeb site
(until Bylaws are approved).
You may totally scrap this or work around it etc. Just an
idea.
