Pettigo. Between 1750 and 1900 most of these townlands were owned by the
Vaughan Charter Estate and the Johnston family of Magheramanagh Castle,
This information has been compiled from church registers and data
supplied by late Jean Wilson of Derryneeve, James Stewart of Toronto,
John Cunningham of Belleek, Dennis Ahern of USA, Bobby Edes of Brisbane
and the Family Tree series by Ross Wilson 1978.
Though some of the Wilson lines have been traced I have little knowledge
of the descendants of many of the Wilsons especially the families of
Johnston Wilson and Arthur Wilson. I would also like to hear of possible
links with the Wilson families in Drumkeeran, Letterkeen, Muckross,
Colaghty, Lisnarick, Derryhillagh etc.
