If your and my Owen Cassidy and Catherine McCarron are the same, I was
referring to the baptisms which took place in St Tierney's Roslea. They
gave their residence as Dernahesco in Monaghan. However, the birth I expect
would have been registered in Scotstown. So the baptisms were in Fermanagh
while the birth registrations were in Monaghan where the births likely took
place and where the family was living.
I don't really know if Scotstown in the census is recorded as a village or a
townland, or if it was spread over more than one townland. But if a birth
was registered in Scotstown, the residence of the parents could be in any
townland within that registration district, and for sure, there would have
been many townlands e.g. Derrynahesco, Derrynasell, Derryallagan,
Derryarrit, Derryartry, Straclevan, Cornaguillagh, Corrinshigo, Rough Hill.
I mention these only because they are on the Monaghan/Fermanagh county line,
and I would think that births there would be registered in Scotstown. So if
you wanted to check inhabitants in 1862 and 1901, you would first check for
their presence in the same townland in both times.

Searching for information on Susan CASSIDY born about 1859/1860.
Her Australian Marriage Certificate to my grandfather William DOLAN states
she was from Derrygonnelly, Co. Fermanagh, daughter of Samuel CASSIDY and
Samuel's profession was shown as "Valuator".
Any connections to other Cassidys?
Any information that would help?
