Years ago - like maybe 15 or so, I came across a sight that had all the hand
written entries, and a lot of them at the end said 'this child is a b....."

On a few of the Kinawley records transcribed by the lat Ruth G a few entried
had the full B word written. Annother had the remark at the side of a
marriage using the P word for Catholic. Remember tho that those records were
from the 1700s.
TG those days are gone in most of the Churches.
I've been told recently that one C of I minister refuses to baptise a child
of a couple who are just living together. Not a very Christian attitude at
all as it is now common place occurance.
