Hi, I am looking for help interpreting a rent roll. The transcription is posted in IGP
Archives as Balfour_1815. Lines 14 and 15 have some of the names that I am currently
researching ROE and KETTLE. In number 14, Roe is the tenant and lives on present lease it
says “At Will” and no date entered. The next item has the lease to Mary and Arthur
Armstrong with lives present as Thomas Kettle. There is a date for this item. Both items
are listed as a denomination of “Cosvosh formerly part of Mill holding” and “Cosvosh,”
respectively. So my questions are, if these items were listed on the roll as Cosvosh does
that mean the property was adjacent? What or where is Cosvosh? My other question is what
does “At Will” mean?
Thank you in advance for your help!
