This seems a very lively list!
My great-great-grandfather Bernard Brady, from Cavan, was a member of
the Royal Irish Constabulary and from his record in Kew I discovered
that his wife Margaret Lilly came from Fermanagh. They married on 7 May
1860, which would mean that she was born before 1844. I am at a loss as
to what I could do to try and discover more about her. Any suggestions
from experienced members of the list?
Griffith's Evaluation gives 29 Lilly's (plus 3 Lilley's), 22 of whom
lived in the parish of Cleenish which seems on the Griffith's map to be

PS I read in a recent post that Barry seems to have an interest in
Dromahair. My gg-grandfather Francis O'Rourke, born in 1830, came from
there and since Griffith's Evaluation mentions only one O'Rourke in the
