I am looking for information regarding a relative who was born in
Northern Ireland and emigrated to Canada in approximately 1812.
My rather sketchy information describes a James Storey who was born
in 1791 in or near Pettigoe, Fermanagh. He was a chemist who
emigrated to Canada in 1812 to fight in the War of 1812.
He landed in Quebec City then travelled to Ontario. Following the
war, he settled in Ontario, married, and fathered sons John and
David, and perhaps a daughter.
David is my Great-Grandfather.
Any information would be much appreciated.
