Hello Carell ~
I do have a Cowan-Elliott marriage, which I may have already told you about. James
Elliott of Drumawark Donegal married Elizabeth Jane Cowan of Gleenkeen Fermanagh on June
7, 1911 at St. Patrick's Parish, Castle Archdale, Derryvullan, Fermanagh. James
parents were James Elliott & Janet Jamieson. Elizabeth was a daughter of Robert
Cowan. Both James were blacksmiths in the Pettigo area and their son David John Elliott
was Pettigo's last blacksmith.

My apologies for reposting this message, but I haven’t received confirmation it was
received and it doesn’t
appear in the archives….so just in case someone can connect to my Fermanagh families,
I’m resending my message.
Dave, the names you have listed and a couple of others;
ELLIOTT, WILSON, HUNTER, MOFFIT, ARMSTRONG, IRVINE, MELDRUM, HETHERINGTON and possibly
COWAN and GRAHAM,
are all my Fermanagh families.
My Moffitts were from the parishes of Derryvullan North, Magheracross, Enniskillen and
Kilskeery - Makenny, Tyrone.
Your Drumkeeran Moffat/et/its were possibly Kin, back in the early 1600s, but earlier
than available Fermanagh records.
Some members of your and my Moffitts immigrated to Gerringong and Kiama NSW in the mid
There they were constantly verbally fighting and taking each other to court!
My associated Meldrums married into my Irvinestown Elliott family. They were from
Ballindullagh, Derryvullan North.
Google has much information about your Moffat and Meldrum families and Fermanagh Gold
Archives are another source.
Good Luck with your search.
Carole Elliott - NSW ~
