1) Dates: Is it possible to enter partial dates like 21.?.1901 (or even 2?.05.1901
Dates are very flexable. You can also attach notes and sources so you can always put a
note such as could be march or may etc
2) Relationships: If I want to enter a person's brother. Do I have to create parents
for that person first? Same with uncle/aunt, etc. Is it possible to create relationships
other than child of and parent of?
You can create a family with out parents in the record view. The add siblings without a
mother or father. You can create families and then link people to the families, you can
not enter Uncle of if that is what you are asking.
Can I enter multiple relationships, such as multiple spouses, adoptions? I would like to
combine the blood-lines of "real" and adopted cildren in one tree. As far as I
know FH handles marriages and divorces as separate events.
Yes, this should not be a problem, although I do not think with out a work around you
can print both sets of parents on one tree.
3) Sources: Multiple sources seem to be permitted. But can I enter a source for the person
himself or only for given events?
Sources can be entered for pratically everything, this is only limited by the GEDCOM
If you take a look at the articles and things at the FHUG site, this may help you.
I am delighted with FH (as you can tell), but I suspect that this is partly because I came
from Family Tree Maker.
