It was so quick to do once I understood where the menu option was - yellow
is a bit gaudy on my screen, but probably good colour to show the text
through on printing - off to explore how to change its colour now just in
case I really don't like it in print.

If you have the query you are almost there.
You need to use the Diagrams/Marks/ Set clear Marks with Query menu option
Take the option and select your query, all the boxes with the correct
surname will turn yellow if you have not already changed the colours.
There is a How To in links on FHUG which show the whole process called
using lists, it is a slightly more complex than you need to use as it
builds a list and uses that to build a query.
