I had to do this when I moved to FH, I think it was last century!
I am sure there is a plug-in for this but if, like me, you are still on V4
If you have an editor that can 'find & replace' then do the following on
your GEDCOM file:
Replace with '1_BAPM' throughout the file.
where the _ indicates a space, leave out the quotes.
You are looking for a 1st level event (the 1), followed by a space because
that's how a GEDCOM works, followed by CHR, the code for a christening.
You are replacing this by a 1, followed by a space, followed by BAPM, the
code for a baptism.
Doing it this way means you do not have to tinker with any of your sources,
notes etc. attached to the christening/baptism record.
Best thing to do is take a copy of your GEDCOM first and only work on the
copy. Do a trial, find/replace just a few instances, take a note of the
individuals you have 'replaced', quit the editor and run the GEDCOM from FH
and just check it is doing what you want. Then you can go ahead and do a
Wait a days before doing this, someone else may have a better answer if you
are not happy 'tinkering' with the raw GEDCOM data. (and I may have got some
of the detail wrong)

Subject: [FHU] Baptisms and Christenings
I am a newcomer to FH, having used Pedigree for more years than I care to
think. I have transferred all of my data but have hit an issue with
Baptisms and Christenings. I prefer to use Baptism and have successfully
changed the Property Box. However, all of my transferred data is in
Christenings. Is there an easy way to move this and its associated sources
from Christenings to Baptisms?
