I use Mozilla Thunderbird as my email client and it offers two options
when replying to a message from the list. Selecting 'reply' will send
the reply to both the list and the personal email address of the sender
of the original message. Selecting 'reply list' will send to the list
only, for onward distribution. I imagine other email clients may have
