This topic reminds me of a frustration i had before when entering
birth/marriage/deaths from quarterly indexes.
FH certainly lets us input Qn yyyy as a valid date format, but i think FH
doesn't do such a good job of calculating ages based on that and (say) the
exact census date. I found it a bit more precise by inputting e.g. Aug 1908
(app) instead of Q3 1908.
It's a lot more readable and has the particular virtue of being at most one
month either side in error (discounting reporting delays, of course). It is
also nicely compatible with the many other occasions when you know a month
roughly (e.g. when a child's census age is given in months).
And that reminds me of something else! Why can't we enter ages in weeks or
