Those photos are so great! I really enjoyed viewing them.
In my humble opinion I would venture to guess that Samuel was a NZ
immigrant who visited "home" after the end of WWI and was given the photos
of perhaps parents and grandparents.
Based on the clothing styles I think Photo 8 was taken around WWI. The
woman is not wearing a bustle and the hat is more modern. Perhaps a wife or
sister to Samuel?
Based on her mouth, nose and forehead, I think the lady in Photo 4 and
Photo 2 are the same. Maybe Number 6 is her husband and Photos 4/6 could
have been taken when they got married.
I think 10 and 11 are the same person based certain facial features. Photo
10 looks like the subject was a teenager, particularly seeing the clothing
style with the full skirt and pronounced bustle.
I don't know how much research you've done but if Sam was born in Sheffield
I would see where his family was in the 1891 census.
There is one group of photos made at a studio on Norfolk Row and another on
Attercliffe Road. The studios' proximity to the family's residence could
offer up some clues.
If only these photos could talk, especially the first one! You're so lucky
to have them!

I have a number of photos in which I don't know the identity of the
people in them.
Some of these photos come with the name of varying photographers in
Sheffield, so am assuming these people come from Sheffield, or Yorkshire
All of these photos were given to an ancestor of mine, Samuel LEE during
a visit to England soon after World War 1.
The photo's can be accessed online at:
Any information about the people, or the photos would be appreciated, do

Am just reposting my interests in related families that are, or were in
the Sheffield area, mostly Attercliffe.
