Beginning March 2nd, 2020 the Mailing Lists functionality on RootsWeb will be discontinued. Users will no longer be able to send outgoing emails or accept incoming emails. Additionally, administration tools will no longer be available to list administrators and mailing lists will be put into an archival state.
Administrators may save the emails in their list prior to March 2nd. After that, mailing list archives will remain available and searchable on RootsWeb
Some while back I sent a message to the List advising that David Dimbleby
was filming in Lavenham for a new TV series.
At last it will arrive on our screens this weekend.
'How We Built Britain', I think that part 1 on Sunday evening at 9 pm on
BBC1 will have the scenes of Suffolk as it is titled, 'The East, a New
Dawn'. The listings mentions visiting Ely and Cambridge amongst other
Billed in The Radio Times as 'good solid popular history . . . lots of
sumptuous buildings, stunning scenery and pretty much like the earlier
series 'A Picture of Britain' shown in 2005'.
Incidentally a new series of 'Coast' begins on BBC2 at 8pm same evening with
visits to Shetland to Orkney. They may visit the coast of Suffolk in later
programmes in this series ?
My apologies to all our Listers overseas who will not be able to receive
these programmes, you may eventually get them - although we have had a long
wait for the Dimbleby programme.
