Hello everyone, just a short note to apologise for the lack of information,
especially regarding the Babergh and Cosford villages and towns - this will
resume towards the end of June. I have had a couple of short hospital stays
recently and we are about to take a much needed holiday for a couple of
weeks in France - although the weather in Suffolk is soooo good right now
Catch up with you all very soon,
bons baisers, Pat ...
As many of you are aware, we recently celebrated our second birthday with
the Suffolk Surnames List in it's present form.
When LeeAnn Beer felt she could not longer maintain the site I took it on
rather than see it disappear. I initially had help with the web site from
Leonie Smith, but she was not able to continue and I was fortunate to have
Ray Long (of the Cosford Database) to help and advise on all the technical
bits and pieces and keep the day to day additions up to date.
Without Ray's help the web site would have folded long ago.
Recently, the Creator, Owner and Maintainer has visited the web site and is
extremely angry that we no longer carry an explanation of her part in the
existence of the Suffolk Surnames List. (You may recall that there was a
longer acknowledgement to Lee Ann in the past).
Therefore I wish to inform everyone that LeeAnn Beer is the original
CREATOR, OWNER and MAINTAINER (please see her entry below from the Guest
Book on the web site).
My apologies to those of you receiving this more than once (or twice) but it
is obvious I have deeply offended LeeAnn Beer and wish to correct this now.
Also my apologies to all Listowners - comment should there be any to me
please, rather than clog up any Lists.
Every time I find an ancestor - I have to find two more!

Is your Suffolk Surname Listed ???
Name: LeeAnn Beer
Date: 28 May 2003
On the site:
"The Suffolk Surname List was conceived by LeeAnn Beer.
The Suffolk Surnames List is owned by Patricia Bridges
and maintained by Ray Long webmaster"
Wow, I went from original CREATOR, OWNER, and maintainer for SIX YEARS, to
simply someone who "conceived" the Suffolk Surname List??? I'm not
impressed; perhaps it should have been abandoned instead.
