I am a new subscriber with only one query at the moment.
My wife's ancestor John Wilson (born in Bristol in 1790) married Rebecca about 1815-20. Their first child was 20 in the 1841 census.
In the 1851 census her birthplace is given as Mosley, Salop, and in 1861 as Iron-bridge. She was also born about 1790.
Where can I find details of her baptism since I have no surname I can only look for Rebeccas born in the area at that time and hope to find details of their marriage. By 1841 they were settled in Dudley where he worked as an Iron Moulder, so the marriage could have taken place in either place.
Any suggestions greatfully received.
Dear Ironbridge gens'
I am interested in finding out more about my great grandmothers family. She was Mary Ann PLIMLEY, born 1855 in Broseley Shropshire, and married a Charles ROWLAND in 1877. He was from Harley. Could anyone tell me how big Harley was in mid 19c? Any information would be wonderful. Thanks.
