I've used a number of different programs over the years. To my mind by far
the best is Family Historian. At approx. £40 - £50 it is not cheap but it
easily handles files of 1 - 20,000+ individuals. It is incredibly flexible,
and it is as simple or as complicated as you want to make it.
Family Historian has just been reviewed by Computer Active magazine
(December 2004) who have given it 5 stars and their "Best Buy" award. It was
software used by the research team on the BBC2 program "Who Do You Think You

The program has been designed by one man who is himself interested in
genealogy. There is an excellent User Group which provides help and support.
Further development of the program is influenced by the suggestions of the users.

Can anybody please suggest suitable software for my genealogy. It's all on
paper at the moment in many files and needs to be more organised and
