I am also interested in aquiring, by mail, a copy of the booklet "History of
Mappleton". One of my grandmothers was born in Manor Farm where her father
farmed, and much later one of my brothers, Rex, farmed Gray's Farm. I have
several of my JACKSON family buried in the churchyard at Mappleton and I am
very intersted as to whether there is a plaque in the church mentioning
something about a JACKSON paying for the restoration of the organ. I have tried
contacting a church warden a few years ago, but didn't receive an answer. The
plaque, if it exists, isn't listed in EYFHS's MI booklet. If anyone in
Mappleton knows, or has an oppertunity to find out I would be pleased to hear from
them. I would also be pleased to receive a photocopy or copies of any
photographs/sketches of Manor and Gray's Farms.
I hope you all have a good day on Saturday and that perhaps your weather is
a bit better than it is down here in Cornwall.
