I came across your posting to the East Yorkshire rootsweb mailing list in
the archives whilst searching fro something else.
By coincidence I also recently came across a reference to this family in the
autobigraphy of a man called Thomas Blossom, who was a missionary to the
South Pacific and born in East Yorkshire. Hannah was his sister, and so nee
Blossom. This autobiography has been transcribed and published. There is a
copy advertised on Ebay.
It has quite a lot of genealogical information in it as well as Blossom's
exploits in Tahiti.

Subject: [ENG-EAST-YORKS] Thomas Family of North Cave
Date: Thu, 7 Sep 2006 13:44:18 +1000
I am new to this list, and am wondering if there is anyone else researching
I have a George Thomas b. c1791, married to Hannah b. c1792, and sons
Stephen b. c1838, Richard b. c1840, and John b. c1841. I have located them
in both the 1841 and 1851 Census and it shows them as all being born in
North Cave, Yorkshire. George, the father, is listed as being a Brickmaker.
I have no idea as to Hannah's maiden name. Going on the ages of the
children, I am wondering if this is a second marriage for George. Hannah
appears to have died sometime after 1851, as she does not appear with the
family in the 1861 census. George has another wife by this time - Elizabeth
who is 55 at the time of the Census and born in York. George is listed as
now being a house Agent.
If anyone is researching this family, or can help me to find Hannah's
surname, I would love to hear from you.
