I was brought up in Hessle and just can't figure out how Daircoates
could possibly be in the Parish of North Ferriby.
As you say Dairycoates is 2 miles west of Hull. Hessle is another 2
miles further west followed by North Ferriby a further 2 miles (at
In my younger days I was a frequent visitor to Dairycoates locomotive
depot. In those days one could walk willy nilly among the locomotives.
