Beginning March 2nd, 2020 the Mailing Lists functionality on RootsWeb will be discontinued. Users will no longer be able to send outgoing emails or accept incoming emails. Additionally, administration tools will no longer be available to list administrators and mailing lists will be put into an archival state.
Administrators may save the emails in their list prior to March 2nd. After that, mailing list archives will remain available and searchable on RootsWeb
This week I am working on putting up webpages for the RUAN Rootsweb
mailing lists that I admin.:
It will look much like what I already have online for Redruth which I
have had on my website for many years:
Note the links to the pages will be on the Cornwall Web page that I
remodeled a couple of weeks ago:
I do need some help. I am going to look online for pictures and if any
of you have any (in any of the three Ruans) and able to send me one or
two, I would love to get them online. All you need to do is copy
picture to a file and attach it to an email to me. Do not attach to an
email to the mailing list because it will not go through Rootsweb.
Also if you know of some links covering either one of the civil
parishes, put them on the list and I will get them there.
Hope this will get new interest in the lists or Rootsweb is threatening
to cancel them out.
Thanks in advance of any help you can give me,
Pat Connors, list admin
So far I have two CORNWELL related surname registries on my website:
1. Redruth Civil Parish
2. Cornwall County
I will next be adding other Cornwall pages for these civil parishes:
The CORNWALL registries cover the whole county while the others just
cover a particular civil parish. Just letting all know because some
seem to be getting confused on which surname registry their name is
listed. If you are adding name(s) or want changes in a name already
lists, please put the correct surname registry in the subject.
You can submit as many names as you wish in one email. However, put
spaces between each so I can figure out which data belongs with the name.
Sorry if I lost your data, I am working with two computers and outdated
software and I am very old. However, I love doing the websites and if
anyone finds mistakes be sure to let me know so I can fix the problem.

Today, I redesigned the Cornwall Surname Registry on the CORNWALL
section of my website at:
At the bottom of the page, you will find two links for the registries:
Surnames starting with A to K, and those starting with L to Z
Beneath each surname page, there are instructions on how you send your
names, if you wish to add yours. Please use the same instructions if
you want to change any of you data.
Yesterday, I announced that I have started a new surname registry on the
new CORNWALL section of my website at:
The website is under construction and there is not link for the surname
registry which is found here:
Since I made the announcement, some have send emails to the various
Cornwall lists and to myself wanting to get there names included. To
the right of the surname registry you will find instructions on how to
get your names included.
NOTE: First sentence says, 'Send email to Pat Connors. I you click on
the my name, you should get an email form already addressed to me. If
not, please send to: nymets11(a)pacbell.net
I will fix the page to actually list my email address because I am told
some do not get the automatic email form addressed to me.
In the meantime some are sending their names to the various Cornwall
lists. If you did so, you need to resend to me personally at:
Also, please use the form:
Your Contact Name:
Your Contact email address:
Surname/Ancestor you are searching
Ancestor's years in Cornwall
Town/Parish/Area where your ancestors lived
Subject of the email should say, 'Cornwall Surname Registry' so it will
go in the right folder.
Thanks in advance for your help,
