Apologies for the long delay, but a new version of the Llangynfelyn
website is at last on-line. It's taken a while, but I've got a new
computer and that's part of the reason for the delay!
For a full list of the additions go to :
Amongst the highlights are: several new maps of the county (now 19 in
total - well worth a look), three chapters from "Ysgol
Llangynfelyn 1876-1976", a "Wanted" notice for a local crook from
1800, extracts from the Cambrian News for 1901, a number of things
from the Records of the Court of Great Session and a lengthy article
(in Welsh) about the history of the Wesleyan cause in Tre'r Ddol.
Hopefully the next episode will be available before Easter. At the
moment we are working on the Cambrian News (1916 and 1938), more from
"Ysgol Llangynfelyn", an article by Marty Landers on people who went
from the area to the USA, and a number of other minor things. The plan
is to put the 1901 Census on-line before the summer, but who knows!
Work continues as well, but very slowly, on recording the monuments
in the churchyard.
