Under Troedyraur Plas page 263 Major Francis Jones "Historic Cardiganshire
Homes and Their Families".......lots of information about the Bowen family
"William, a doctor in Bath, married Miss Boycott of Shropshire, a sister of
the Countess of Guildford. He died without issue."
As you live in Glamorganshire, perhaps you could obtain a copy of this book
from inter-library loan and read all about the family for yourself.
There seems to be a vague connection to the Bowens of Llwyngwair,

Subject: [Dyfed] William Bowen
I went for a day trip to Bath on Wednesday, and spent a long time in Bath
there were hundreds of graves and memorial stones inside, to many to
read I would have needed at least a month to have a really good read of them
all, but this one took my eye, and I just had to send it to the list.
Sacred Memory of William Bowen, MD, youngest son of
the late William Bowen Esquire of Troedy Raur in the County of
departed this life the 27th March 1815 aged 54 years.
Many years in eminant practise of this City, a member of the body corperate
by his will. A liberal benefactor to the General Hospital and other
charitable institutes. He was a man of strictest integrity, a tender and
loving husband, an affectionate brother and a faithfull friend.
This monument is erected as a tribute to his affection.
I hope this belongs to someone out there, its only a shame it did not
other family names, such as his wife, if it does belong to
somebody's family tree I would love to know,
Barry Glamorgan-----also researching BOWEN of Carmarthen
