I was recently asked for a lookup on the above in Pembroke and sent info
to the requester; however, in doing another lookup have found more
pertinent info in a book written by Mr. Richard Rose titled "Pembroke
People". Without an occupation, this book could take hours for one
lookup. I'm hoping my querer monitors this list and will see the
Under Foremen of the Yard...William BALL whose wife was Charlotte,
Llanreath. Their children were Clarissa, Charlotte and Emma. Charlotte
was the wife of George White, Farmer. Emma died 4.12.1892, aged 71.
Clarissa m Joshua Taylor, widower, Master RN, at St Mary's 11.12.1845.
William Ball was appointed the guardian of George White of Hill Farm,
minor son of George White, who died a widower in 1846. William Ball
made his will on 19.7.1845 in the presence of William Saunders and
Robert Saunders, Inspector of Shipwrights. He left all his household
goods to his wife for life and to be divided after her death between his
daughters Clarissa and Emma. He left an annuity of 50 pounds to his
wife charged on his real and personal estate and his real estate and
personal estate to be sold for the benefit of Clarissa and Emma.
Charlotte Ball died 31.1.1848, aged 67. William Ball died 22.4.1850,
aged 68...both buried Park Street Cemetery. Probate was granted, PCCf.
341, 25.5.1850 to Clarissa Taylor, formerly Ball, and Emma Ball.
