I have some more info on the Roblins, I hope that it is relevant, most of
the info I have on the Roblins came from Natalie Robling, who used to be on
this list. Are you still there Natalie?
Owen Roblin of Walton East parish, Pembrokeshire died c1700. The will
reference is SD1700/226
His son was Phillip Roblyn, gent, died c1720 Llandysilio parish PEM. Will
You can obtain copies of the wills from the National Library of Wales. It
will cost about $8. E mail them with the will reference details and your
address and they will send you a form to sign.
In 1786 a Philip Roblin owned Portis Park, Llandysilio. This is likely to be
either the son or grandson of Phillip Roblyn senior, as Phillip senior
inherited Portis Park.
Natalie found the Roblin surname in the following parishes in Pembrokeshire:
Camrose,Cosheston, Begelly, Norton, Warren, St Twynnell's Castlemartin,
Prendergast, Lambston, Llan y cefn, Roch, Ambleston, Llawhaden & Burton. It
is a name rarely found outside Pembrokeshire.
For more information on these parishes it is worth consulting the genuki
- for Camrose
This will give you background information and a list of resources available.
There are separate pages for all the parishes listed above.

All the above are maintained by Gareth, our list administrator.
According to Francis Jones, whose research formed the basis of the book,
Historic Pembrokeshire Homes & their families, the ancestral home of the
Roblin family is Roblinston in Camrose parish. Earliest Roblin mentioned,
William Robelyn 1251/2. The house was a ruin in 1811.
Were/are your Roblin family baptists? There was an important Baptist
chapel - Rhydwilym in Llandysilio parish, I think many of the members
emigrated. In 1701 16 members of the chapel emigrated to "the Welsh Tract"
Delaware. Many Quakers also emigrated from this area.
I hope you can follow the above which is rather disjointed. Let us know what
