Well, just shows how careful you need to be when posting to these lists -
you never know when it may back come to bite you :-)
I simply had to check out the rootsweb entry for myself, memory not being
what it used to be !
Google is a wonderful thing.
Ended up reading half the other postings on the same page, fascinating stuff
If this is your family I am quite happy to send you the actual paperwork I
received from the NLW, assuming I can find it that is - but I never chuck
anything away !
Let me know.

Subject: [GLA] Bryndulais Cadoxton nr Neath --5 years later!!
I idly typed the name of the farm into Google and up popped a
posting to Rootsweb from John Gareth in 1998 about William Davies aka
Jones' will and the subseqent legal ins and outs!! By 1871 my Gt
Grandparents William and Jennet Davies ( he the son of David Davies
farmer/tailor of Llwyngole and she the daughter of William Philips
Glynrhedyn both farms in Dulais Highier) were living in Bryndulais-in fact
after they moved to FFaldau Farm in Pontycymer they subsequently called one
of their houses in Victoria St Pontycymer "Bryndulais" from where Jennet ran
a milk round. The David Jones refered to in the original posting who
inherited in William Davies/Jones will was in the farm in 1851 and also in
1861 --in the latter census he gives his place of birth as Ystradfotwg,by
then the farm was 100 acres. This response is probably too late to be of any
value but one can never tell!! I am still trying to work out what brought my
William and Jennet to the Garw valley and to!
Ffaldau Farm in the first place
