The coroner was involved in the event of any sudden death, even if it
was of natural causes.
Coroner's inquests are the property of the Coroner and his to destroy
after a few years unless the case is of particular interest in which
event they are closed for 75 years.
More inquests were kept in the 20th century but still not all.
Your best bet is the relevant local paper which, at that time, often
had a verbatim report of the inquest.
However, it's still worth checking the record office to see if they
have anything; don't get your hopes up though.
