My husband and I recently spent a few days in Wales (from the U.S.) and
found in a small overgrown graveyard the headstone of Mary JAMES, a sister
of my 3rd Great Grandmother. On that headstone, along with Mary, was a
brother that we hadn't known about. Both Mary JAMES (nee WILLIAMS) b. 1772
Llanboidy d. 10 Sep 1870 and her brother John WILLIAMS, b. <1873> near
Llanboidy d. 9 Sep 1870 had died within a day of each other! So I have 2
1) What caused their deaths, in the same house, within a day of each other
(I found from an index of Wills and Administrations 23 Nov 1870) that John
was "late of New Cottage", St. Clears, Carms "Schoolmaster" but at the
of his death he was living with his sister Mary at Green Croft Cottage
Narberth Pembs, and that probate was made to his sister Francis LLEWHELYN
(sp) in GLAMS).
2) Are there any records of Wills (besides indexes), Probate, Death
Certificates, Obituaries, etc. that are available online for those dates
and if so, where would I find them.
