Hi Reg, All
I can get this information for you.
The key book I get this information from, when I need it, is:
Tithe Surveys of England and Wales by R. J. P. Kain (2006)
I cannot believe the NLW has not got a copy of this book. But then they look at
the Diocesan copies of the Tithe Maps, and not the copies deposited with the
Tithe Commissioners and now at the TNA. The references in this book are to the
references used at the TNA. It gives the date you require, i.e. the
Apportionment list of names, the area of the parish in acres, who made the map,
and a general description of the layout of the map (colour or B&W, place-names
included on the map or not, etc.). For some parishes, but rarely in Wales, you
can get several separate Tithe Maps to cover the whole parish. These are often
large parishes and relate down to the Chapelry level. Occasionally the spelling
of the parish names are not in the most conventional format used elsewhere.
You can buy a second-hand copy online from £14.50. I find this a really helpful
book for the very reasons you mention.

Subject: [Dyfed] Dates of tithe maps and apportionments
Some researchers will already know that the dates of tithe apportionments can be
quite different from the dates of the corresponding tithe maps.
I did point out to the National Library of Wales that neither the Cynefin
project nor the Place of Wales beta site seem to hold such invaluable
(essential?) information. But I was told that such information can be found
Can someone enlighten me as to where? I would like the date of the apportionment
for the parish of Dinas, Pembrokeshire.
