I would like to hear of other list members experiences in order to
decide which way to go about ordering post-1837 death and birth
certificates for Pembrokeshire from overseas. I am in Sydney,
Australia. Having spent a little time on 1837Online I have found a
death and birth for which I would like to order the certificate. I see
that you can order from the Government Record Office (GRO) centrally,
using their form via fax and credit card details at a cost of about 11
pounds. I could also request the certificates from the Haverfordwest
Register Office (the certificates are from the Pembroke registration
district) but I cannnot find any online details/email address for the
office at Tower Hill so this would be via "snailmail". I believe this
may be a little cheaper. I think you can also order through the
National Library of Wales.
What have list members found works well from overseas?
