I have found on Ancestry an ancestor of mine who is registered in the England and Wales,
Civil Registration Index: 1837-1983 as followed:
Name: THOMAS, Evan
Record Type: Deaths
Age of death: 72
District: Newcastle in Emlyn
County: Caernarvonshire Cardiganshire Pembrokeshire
The Death Indexes for 1837-1983 are found on microfiche, #6103086-#6103671.
According to my sources Evan was born 1795 in Llandysul, Cardiganshire and died 2 OCT 1867
(age 72) in the same location. He is also buried there.
The Registration District for Newcastle in Emlyn (mainly in Cardiganshire) does include
Llandysul (formerly known as Llandssil).
I am attempting to determine exactly where in Llandysul (Pant Olwen?) he was born, but
most importantly who his parents were. Would reviewing the above record or ordering a
certified copy of it give me this information?
Appreciate your kindly assistance.
Mahalo nui loa (thank you very much).
