Just to clarify the use of the term 'Christening' in the Blaenwaun records.
I was merely quoting the standardised NLW designation of 'C' against the
entry. Without checking the actual records, I can't be sure whether this
relates to the low-key naming ceremony which is used in some Baptist
churches or whether the records in fact amopunt to a birth register. Either
way, I assume that the information they contain would be relevant to anyone
requiring it for genealogical purposes.

the period 1793-1837. These are the originals and are not on film.
