For those interested, I have almost finished indexing all names, places,
occupations, relationships etc from Amroth Wills 1600 -1858.
There are the normal surnames we would expect ; Instance, Thain, Lawrence,
Parcell/Parsel, Elliotts, Murrow, Fender etc. But there are some unusual
such as Mckenzie, Ienham, Palmer amoungst them.
Place names in the main from around South Pembs, but St John Worcester gets
a mention and places in Carm's.
Occupations as expected, a number of Clerks(vicars), Mariners, colliers,
coal miners, Yeoman and husbandman.
So if any of the above ring a bell and I can help you, let me know.
Ofcourse this listing is now added to the same type of information indexed
for, St Issells, Ludchurch, Crunwere, Lamphey, Rhos Crowther, Marros, Manorbier
and Kyffig, in which can be found mention of people and places from North
Wales to Reading in Berkshire to South Wales in general.
Many thanks to all those I was able to speak to and who showed an interest
in my stand at Narberth, sorry if I missed anyone, I had nearly lost my
voice by the time I got home.
