I'll try and make amends for my previous frivolity :-)
I've consulted umpteen books and the best I can come up with are 2 from A
Book of Wales
- an anthology ed by D & EM Lloyd 1953/65
First is 'My Choice' on p311.
Translated from the Welsh by J Lloyd Jones, originally by Prince Hywel ab
Owain Gwynedd (d. 1170).
"My choice is a maid, wondrous slender and fair.."
And then 'In Praise of a Girl' on p 326.
Translated from the Welsh by Gwyn Williams.
Originally by Huw Morris (1622-1709)
"Slip of loveliness, slim, seemly.."
No Welsh translations though, and not that short either.
But I could at a push scan both and send as an attachment to you.
