Owain Gwynedd (d. 1170).
"My choice is a maid, wondrous slender and fair.."
Well its certainly a better choice than the same poets "The Poet's Loves"
which would be more suitable for a stag night.
(Slight pause while I recall that Hywel ap Owain is one of my very English
Huw Morus seems a good bet, I started wrestling with "I'w Gariad" which
seemed promising but my pidgin Welsh was not up to an English translation.
