Anything is possible.........but don't forget the property name was
Gdlanddegwm in the 1881 census...whereas you have a Capital I in place of
the G......someone might be able to tell you if it has a meaning and which
of the two might be the correct spelling.

the data for 1881. And as you say, I at least know who was living at
Idlanddegwm in 1881.
A thought. If in 1897, there were a Daniel & Frances DAVIES ascribed to
Idlanddegwm in the members' list for Cilfowyr Chapel, might it not be
possible that she was related to the Griffiths family you have found
there in 1881: a sister perhaps? Where the eldest son inherited the
smallholding? Who knows. But I will persevere.
