Thanks for the link to the members list, Dai - it's very interesting
although unfortunately it doesn't look like William's child/ren lived long
enough to make it to the list.
Thank you for the biographical and career notes, Aidan - that's more than I
knew! Wish I could read Welsh... The Elizabeth and William in 1841 may not
be his wife and child, bearing in mind that there are no relationships given
in that census. That was just my assumption. I'll have to go back over my
notes and see if any of his other relations might fit. William's father John
was born in Llanrwst too, although he's buried at Llandrillo. I think that
probably is William's church - great picture.
Since I posted the query I've been Googling - The National Library of Wales
also holds some records for Glynarthen Independent - bit tricky for me to
see them (I'm in Melbourne, Aus) but I'll email them and enquire. The NBI
second edition also has records of burials there so I'll have a look next
time I'm at the State Library.
