I think I may have sent you the 1851 census information for this family.
Here it is again - I have transcribed 1841 and 1851 Bletherston.
Penfordd No 5
Richard Llewhelin Head M 55 Carrier Pem Bletherston
Mary Llewhelin wife M 35 Pem Llawhaden
David Llewhelin son 14 Pem Bletherston
William Llewhelin son 11 Pem Bletherston
Thomas Llewhelin son 8 Pem Bletherston
Henry Llewhelin son 4 Pem Bletherston
and here is the 1841 census:-
Thomas Llewhelin 80 Farmer
Richard Llewhelin 35
Mary Llewhelin 30
Benjamin Llewhelin 7
David Llewhelin 4
William Llewhelin 1
William Williams 15 M.S.
Mary Williams 20 F.S.
As the marriage was before 1837 then you can't get Mary's father's name
from a marriage certificate - you could get a copy of the page in the
parish register and see if the witnesses give a clue.

I was just wondering if anyone can help me?
In my family tree one of my ancestors was Richard Llewhellin who was born in
Bletherston in July 1802. He was married to a Mary Williams (born bet. 1805 -
1811 in Llawhaden ... but I've never been able to work out which family she came
Anyway, my query is that when I started my family history research some 6 years
ago, I made the big (huge!) mistake of not always writing down the sources!
So, now I'm trying to work out who his children were?
In my records I have a son Thomas Llewellyn who was born about 1843 in
Now, can anybody help me find out if this was indeed a son of Richard and Mary
Llewellyn. I don't know where I got this information from, but I usually only
write down what is proven, so I must have had some good source ... but I didn't
write it down!!**
Can anybody help in any way???
Fingers crossed. I look forward to hearing from anyone who might have some
Many thanks & kind regards, Sarah Reay in Northumberland.
