I'll join the bandwagon on this one as well. Item 3 for me.
I think the intial effort was made last year when you combined the Pembs, Cards and
Carms(?) lists. As it has already been mentioned, this area was sparsely populated, to the
number of people researching today will be proportionately less.
However, as this list DOES have less traffic than other lists, I do read every one that is
posted. Which is more than can be said for other lists which generate several dozen per
day, most of which are "Test" or "Thanks", which has caused me to
deleted all posts which I do not think directly interest me. I dare say a lot of valuable
info goes missing.
I also suppose that others are like myself, and not all ancestors originated from the
Dyfed area, so their research goes round in circles, and they accumulate more and more
info, until it is time to tackle the Dyfed lot again.
I've also come to the conclusion that I am the only one researching my families in
Cardiganshire, and as I've now traced most of them so far back as to determine that
they did not originate from the county, and those that did are proving to be such tough
brick walls, I really am at a standstill.
However questions do still arise, and I follow this list with infinately more interest
than other lists.
The information you keep pumping out also means that questions pertaining to the social
environment of the times of my ancestors are also answered without me having to post!
I suppose less traffic on this list also means less work for you. I wouldn't
Regards and keep up the good work.
