I think success for you may come from broadening your spelling
base...Philipps is always a nightmare!
According to pre-1813 marriages a Philipps Philipps married Ann Smith at
Jeffreston in 1759. If these are the parents of your Philip Philips, then
he was a fairly young bridegroom...or perhaps his parents married in haste.
Alternatives are Lewis Philipps who married
Mary Rogers at Jeffreston in 1743 or Joseph Phillips who married Anne Phelps
at Jeffreston in 1742.
The parish register marriage entry for Philipps Philipps would show
witnesses, but the other marriages are too early.
In the Wills index a Phillip Phillip's will was proved at Pembrey in 1856
and there were wills for 5 Phillip Phillips.....the most likely timeframe
being the one at Camrose in 1798. At Jeffreston, Wills were proven for
Isaac Philipps in 1843 and Judith Philipps in 1844.
Are you absolutely sure of Mary Brinnin's surname spelling?
She appears to be the only person of that surname in the marriage index.
However, an Elizabeth BRUNNIN married Thomas Adams at Carew in 1775 and a
Rebeckah Brunning in 1785 married John Andrew at Carew. There are many
records for people surnamed Brin/Bryne/Brynne in Carew and an Anne Brunning
of St. Florence's will was proved in 1842.
As to the Duggans, Abraham and George were probably Alice's brothers, as an
Abraham Duggan married in 1811 at Warren in Castlemartin 100, whilst a
George Duggan married in 1802 at Angle. (You might be lucky enough to find
Alice's husband as a witness to one of these marriages). Unfortunately my
index does not show Abraham and George's wives...but the Records Office
should be able to oblige, or perhaps another Lister has this information.
For Duggan wills, there is Elizabeth in 1784 at St. Twynells, John at H/west
Town & Country in 1769, John at Steynton in 1827 and Elizabeth at Hasguard
Hope this maze helps. Bettye Kirkwood, Australia.
