If it is pure chance then I must be the luckiest person in the world since I
have yet to register a single failure on my main machine whatever time of
day it is !
And I've never won more than £20 on the lottery
Another other theory is that it's to do with firewalls but again I have two
machines using Norton, Zone Alarm and Windows Firewall between them - and
the same browsers.
The machine alternating between Windows F and ZA has no problem.
The machine alternating between Norton and Windows F can't access Books at
all whichever firewall is live - blimey I know understand the frustration !
Perhaps it's the way of the world, there are those that can and those that
can't ................... :-)

This is not uncommon with a beta site. It is probably running on a
powered server (beta software is not usually allowed on 'production'
servers), and a limit will have been placed on the number of concurrent
users. That means it will just be pot luck whether you get in. 5am UK
time might be a good time <vbg>.
