I have a copy of the article in question.
It mentions that there were some 690 memorials in the churchyard/church so
the implication is that some sort of complete survey was done.
The article was by a Harold Mytum & the acknowledgements indicate that the
research was carried out with funds & volunteers supplied by the Centre for
Field Research,Belmont,Mass USA in 1987 & supervised in the field by
Caroline Mytum (nee Reis).
It does indeed suggest that the transcript was to have been deposited at the
Record Office Haverfordwest.
