I think you'll find that it is 'Chalybeate Street' (after some
springs, I believe). Now although I was born in Aber in the 1950s and
know where Chalybeate Street is, I do not remember the YMCA. Might be
worth searching Google on 'Chalybeate' and 'Aberystwyth'.
Better, it might be worth seeing what the Ceredigion Archives has.
By the way, does the 'Felix' name suggest ancestry in Llangynfelyn?
