I have recently been researching JENKINS, EVANS & DAVIES around that area.
Your Mary JENKINS could possibly be the daughter of Sarah (who died Q1
1878 age 36) & John. The parents both said they were from Llanwenog but
the children were all born in Silian. They were in Plasbach, Silian in
1871. John age 43 & children were in Pencwarrefach, Nantcwnlle by 1881.
Rees DAVIES, b.Nantcwnlle, could possibly be the son of David
b.Llanwenog & Margaret b.Lledrod & they lived in Ffynonbryn, Nantcwnlle
Hope this fits with the fathers' forenames on the certificate.

Thank you very much for all your help. On the 1891 census Mary's birthplace
is Salam, Cardigan.
The Salem, near Llandelio, would that be in Carmarthen or Cardigan in 1864?
I think I really need to study Welsh geography!!
I think I need to go through ancestry and look for Mary Jenkins at Salem,
Lampeter and Silian. Would the pronunciation, spoken by someone who came
from that area, of Salam and Silian, sound similar to an English speaker? I
have so little information on this side of my family, that every step is
very difficult, and I greatly appreciate any help,
Thank you once again
