Patronymics I can cope with, and also the adoption of a Grandfathers Patronym as a
I am however thoroughly confused by the following sequence.
The Address from Parish Records is the Same.
David John died 1806 names his wife Ann John and Son John David.
Anne Jones (Presumably his wife dies and is buried on the 14th July 1812).
The next probable record relating to the family is the Baptism of Anne reputed daughter of
John Jones baptised the 20th August 1809. (No address given.)
The Parish Records record the baptisms of two children, David on the 7th Sept 1814, and
Evan on the 5th March 1816 to John Jones and Susanna his Wife.
Susannah died on the 1st March 1832 aged 50.
John Jones in his Will names children Anne Jones, David Jones, Evan Jones and John Jones.
David Jones, Evan Jones and John Jones adopted Davies as a surname, and this is confirmed
in Wills of other family members.
Is this sequence an isolated occurrence, or have other list members come across something
I could not find a marriage for John Jones and Susanna Evans on FMP, but it does appear in
the DyfedFHS Indexes!
Comparing FMB with free BMD also shows that there are gaps in the FMP information.
It just shows it is worth checking all possible resources.
