Many thanks for sharing these listings with us. It is always so
frustrating when you can't locate an event and are not sure whether it
is your typo or alternative spelling, bad indexing or registers not
included. This listing was always invaluable to help solve the
question. However when I saw the LDS at the old Pembrokeshire Record
Office I understood that they were scanning every parish. These were
then to be indexed and put on their FamilySearch website. This never
happened and instead they went into partnership with Findmypast with
these documents and for some reason not everything they had scanned was
included. Very disappointing but I suppose we must be grateful for what
is available. Perhaps if enough people put pressure on them and
FamilySearch we would see all the Welsh parish registers included.
Another missing facility due to the new search program on Findmypast is
the 1911 census List option. It listed the head of household against
each address and enable one to locate any property in a street. This
partuclarly useful in a village where there are often no house numbers
only names. Knowing the names of farms or the older properties locates
any new buildings slotted in between them. .I regret the loss of it as I
have always found it invaluable to find out who were the neighbours of
my ancestors - they were very often related or a family into which my
family married. I have asked for it to be reinstated but so far nothing
has been done about it. Perhaps there are too few of us asking for it.
